Olympic Flag

The Olympic flag has been part of our lives and the history of the Olympic Games since 1914. This flag is made out of 5 interlocking  rings with a white peaceful background.
Pierre de Coubertine was the founder and designer of the flag, The flags design was inspired from an Altar Stone from Delphi, Fokida, Greece.

The white background of the flag is referred to as the colour of peace. It is peace that unites the whole world In the Games.

The Olympic rings are the main part of the flag. Each ring has their own colour and those colours represent one of the 5 continents competing in the Olympic Games.

Throughout history the Olympic Games has United us in Friendship, Love and Peace.
